IHRR Deploys Field Team After Sudden Landslide in Sindhupalchok

A sudden landslide triggered by continuous rainfall struck the upper regions of Sindhupalchok, blocking major foot trails and threatening nearby settlements. In response, the Institute of Himalayan Risk Reduction (IHRR) deployed its rapid field team within hours to assess slope instability and provide technical support to the local government.
The team conducted a preliminary hazard assessment, identified active cracks, and recommended temporary evacuation for high-risk households.
