IHRR’s climate research team successfully installed a state-of-the-art automatic glacier monitoring station above Khangsar village in Manang. The station measures glacial melt rates, temperature variations, ice movement patterns, and potential GLOF indicators.
This installation is part of IHRR’s long-term Himalayan Cryosphere Monitoring Project aimed at creating accurate, data-driven understanding of how climate change is reshaping high-altitude environments.
