Disaster Risk Reduction
Installation of real-time landslide monitoring sensors and community alert mechanisms in high-risk settlements.
This project focuses on the deployment of ground movement sensors, soil moisture detectors, and rainfall monitoring units to predict potential landslides. Data is transmitted to IHRR’s central system for continuous analysis. The project also includes capacity-building sessions for local officials and communities to understand warning signals and adopt safety measures.
Sensors installed at five critical slopes, community-level orientation completed, and early-warning siren system activated. Additional locations are under assessment.
